Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play a very important role at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. We depend on volunteers to provide assistance for the patients, their families and hospital staff.
We offer three types of volunteer programs:
- Adult Volunteer Program for ages 30+ and up is held year-round.
- College Volunteer Program for ages 20 to 28. We are not currently accepting any college student volunteers until August 2008.
- Youth Volunteer Program for youth 15-18 years of age (Sophmores thru Seniors in High School) that is held for six weeks during June and July. We are no longer accepting youth volunteer applicants.
Because we require a 6 month commitment to volunteer, we do not offer community service hours. For information on community service, please contact the United Way of Denton County on how you can volunteer at one of their local agencies.
How to Volunteer at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton?
1. Make a commitment to volunteer for a minimum of 6 weeks for our youth program and 6 months for our adult program, for at least one 4-hour shift a week.

3. For all new youth volunteers, we require at least 2 letters of recommendation on school letterhead. The letters of recommendation must be from a teacher or counselor only.
4. Interview with Volunteer Services Staff: Teens require a parental permission to volunteer and to have any medical procedures administered. Please bring the completed Volunteer consent forms with you to the interview.
